Hi! I’m Grace, a 20-something-year-old from a small town in Illinois.
I am a lifelong reader! Since I was a little kid, I have loved reading (I was the kid that won the contests in grade school for AR points).
My parents always made reading more involved than simply reading the book. When I read Heidi and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer with my dad, we discussed the books for hours. My mom and I would read all the American Girl books for each doll and then go to the store for my birthday. I absolutely loved the whole process of reading.
In high school and college, I loved English classes where you got to have rich group discussions about the books.
This is why as an adult, I love book clubs. I do book clubs with my family and friends. I plan book clubs with my nieces, Kenzi, age 10, and Quinn, age 8 (we are reading the Harry Potter series now), and with kids of all ages that I tutor.
When I am not reading my favorite book or bingeing my latest TV show obsession, I love playing games with my family (Cribbage and Euchre are my favorites).
